Come help us celebrate this great addition to our township!

It was a cold but great trail work day at the Bridgeton Nature Preserve this past Saturday, March 28th, as we finish up some loose ends in anticipation of our grand opening Wednesday, May 27th.
We finished extending the puncheon (a wooden walkway) pictured below over the wetlands on the south side of the loop trail.
Another team installed a culvert and rock water bar for erosion control at the bottom of the steps on the north side of the trail.
We installed 2 blaze posts along the road, and chainsawed 4 blowdowns.
So next week all we have to do is blaze and a few miscellaneous items and the trail should be finished.
A huge thanks to our volunteers, from Bridgeton and as far away as Philadelphia and Allentown:
