Township Annual Reorganization Meeting

Bridgeton Township Meeting Room

The Bridgeton Township Supervisor’s will have their annual, reorganizational meeting Monday, January 6th, 2025 .

The State of Pennsylvania mandates all townships to reorganize on the first Monday of the new year.

The meeting will be held at the Township Municipal building:

“A Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of Bridgeton Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Designating Gard Holby, Supervisor, Chair and Sheryl Patterson, Secretary/Treasurer as the Officials to Execute All Documents and Agreements Between Bridgeton Township and the Commonwealth Financing Authority to Facilitate and Assist in Obtaining the Requesting Grant” has been approved and the LSA grant has been filed.

NEW BUSINESS 

1. Motion to approve the Red Cross Agreement designating the emergency use of the Bridgeton Township Municipal Building.

2.  Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2024-6,
“A Resolution Increasing Tax Collector Percentage from 4.5% to 5%.”

3.  Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2024-7,
“A Resolution for the Allocation of the ARPA Funds”

4.  Motion to adopt Resolution No. 2024-8,
“ A Resolution for Raising Supervisor Pay to $ 200 Per Month.

  5.  Motion to adopt Resolution 2024-9,
“A Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of BridgetonTownship, Bucks County, Pennsylvania Establishing the Annual Millage Rate on Real Property Within Bridgeton Township and Providing for the Adoption of the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025.”

  6.  Adoption of the 2025 Budget.

  7.  Motion to Appoint CPA Jeffrey Weiss of Zelenkofske Axelrod LLC Certified Public Accountants to Perform 2024 Municipal Audit.

  8.  Motion to release fire tax – $ 26,000 to the Upper Black Eddy Fire Company

  9.  Motion to release $ 1,000 to the Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Center

  10.  Motion to release $ 20,000 to Upper Bucks Regional EMS in January, 2025

5) Selection of BTPC 2025 monthly meeting date and time

Presently the BTPC meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at

7:30 pm with the exception of: 

  • No meeting in November
  • The December meeting has typically been the 1st Tuesday of the month. (In 2025 this would be 12/2/ 2025

Action plan will be set to the Bridgeton Township BOS.

  12. The Township participated in the Bucks County Consortium’s salt bid. Bids were opened on 08/14/2024. There were (4) participants that submitted bid proposals: Morton Salt, Inc. $60.95/ton; Riverside Construction $63.00/ton; Eastern Salt $ 89.90/ton & American Rock Salt $98.000/ton. All bid proposals are for “delivered price per ton.” After review of all bid proposals, it is recommended to award the 2024-2025 Rock Salt Bid to Morton Salt, Inc. It is estimated that the Township will require 150 tons for a total of $ 9,142.50. *In 2023-2024 we paid $66.00/ton based on 150 tons.
