Proposed Floodplain Ordinance Amendment

Courtesy Mary ShaferThis is the proposed Floodplain Ordinance amendment that will be discussed at Wednesday’s (7.27.16) Planning Commission meeting. It fixes a technical issue with the original ordinance. This ordinance is based on a federal template. The ordinance is required by FEMA in order for a township to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program which offers discounted premium rates for communities that comply with FEMA flood management requirements.
