Supervisors Pass Ordinance Regulating Medical Marijuana Facilities

Ordinance 2017-3

The Bridgetown Township Supervisors passed Ordinance 2017-3 at their regular monthly meeting on September 12th. The ordinance regulates where and what type of medical marijuana facility can be located in Bridgeton Township. The ordinance was in response to the passage of the Medical Marijuana Law by the Pennsylvania Legislature in April of this year, legalizing Medical Marijuana and providing for production facilities and dispensaries (https://www.governor.pa.gov/blog-what-you-need-to-know-about-medical-marijuana-in-pennsylvania/).

Bridgeton Township Meeting RoomPublic hearings were opened at the Tuesday, Sept. 13th Supervisor’s Meeting for proposed ordinances relating to Telecommunications and Floodplain issues. The hearings were tabled to be continued at the October 11, 2016 Supervisor’s meeting after receiving input from the township and county Planning Commissions.

Bridgeton Township Draft Noise OrdinanceThe Bridgeton Township Supervisors have released a draft Noise Ordinance Bridgeton Township Draft Noise Ordinance that will be considered at a public hearing at the next Township Supervisors meeting, Thursday Dec. 10, 7:00 pm at the township municipal building, 1370 Bridgeton Hill Rd, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972. Public comments are welcomed, of course. Voting on the ordinance is scheduled for the January supervisor’s meeting at the earliest.

Supervisors Approve New Ordinances at October Meeting

Ordinance 2015-5  is a Mutual Aid Agreement between Bridgeton, Tinicum and Nockamixon townships for Emergency Management.

Ordinance 2015-6 amends Article III, Section 306 “Table of Uses” in the Township’s Zoning Ordinance to remove Townhouse Use in the Village Residential District. It will now be solely permitted in the Village Center (VC) District with approved central water and sewer service.
