PA Gov. Wolf Orders Closure of Non-Life-Sustaining Businesses at 8 p.m. March 19

Governor Tom Wolf today ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania to close their physical locations as of 8 p.m. today, March 19, to slow the spread of COVID-19. Enforcement actions against businesses that do not close physical locations will begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 21.

Bridgeton Township Issues Disaster Emergency Declaration

The Bridgeton Township Supervisors have issued a Disaster Emergency Declaration as part of their response to the COVID19 pandemic. The effect of a declaration of a local disaster emergency is to activate the response and recovery aspects of any and all applicable local emergency management plans and to authorize the furnishing of aid and assistance thereunder from federal, state and county sources.

In keeping with social distancing guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, Bridgeton Township will limit public access to the Township Building until further notice.

  • Correspondence with the Secretary/Treasurer and the Zoning Office is available via e-mail, phone, the physical drop box at the township building, or US Postal Service.
  • We can accept payments for permits via the drop box and US Postal Service.
  • Field inspections will be done with social distancing with the contractor.
  • “Job” cards and approved plans will be sent via US Postal Service
  • The Township will not be accepting deliveries or allow access to the building for nonessential purposes.
  • Bridgeton Township remains staffed, with employees working on-premise or remotely as circumstances dictate.
