Public Works Maintenance Laborer 

Chalfont Borough, PA Full ‐ time position. Scheduled days and hours
of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Position frequently
requires long hours and weekend work. Laborer is responsible for preparing broken and eroding
pavement on borough streets, maintenance of the park system and storm sewer system. Position
involves lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods of time and performing strenuous
physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employee will be expected to lift, push, pull or carry
objects; use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma and a Commercial Driver’s license Class A or B with air brake
endorsement. Applicants need to be physically capable of strenuous work and be able to understand
and follow safety precautions. The position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and the ability
to quickly move arms and legs.

EOE Salary $18 ‐ 22.00/hour DOE.
