Join us on Tuesday morning, July 28th at 9AM as Diane Allison will lead us on a Nature Walk in the new Bridgeton Nature Preserve.
We will enjoy a walk on the new trail that the Appalachian Mountain Club built with the help of local residents. It is a flat walk up an old roadbed and then winds through the woods with a gentle uphill climb, some rocky stream crossings, and then loops back to the old roadbed.
On the walk we will look for birds and other creatures and talk about the invasive plants that are present and the importance of our native plants to our wildlife. Come out and learn about the natural features of this permanently preserved property that is available for the community to enjoy.
Closed shoes, (it may be a bit wet in spots depending on weather), insect repellent and water are recommended.
We will meet in the parking lot of the Nature Preserve, across the street from The Gulch Tavern at 9AM.
In case of inclement weather, Diane will host a Birding slideshow at the Bridgeton Township Building instead.
