7. Roadmaster – The Township participated in the Bucks County Consortium’s salt bid. Bids were opened on 08/16/2023. There were (4) participants that submitted bid proposals:
Silva Concrete Products $66.00/ton
Morton Salt, Inc. $66.43/ton
Eastern Salt $89.90/ton
American Rock Salt $97.80/ton.
All bid proposals are for “delivered price per ton.” After review of all bid proposals, it is recommended to award the 2023-2024 Rock Salt Bid to Silva Concrete Products. It is estimated that the Township will require 150 tons for a total of $ 9,900.00. *In 2022-2023 we paid $67.76/ton based on 200 tons.
