Longtime Supervisor Barbara Guth, who stepped down after 29 years this past January, was thanked and celebrated at a reception at The Bridgeton House on April 9th. Many members of the community who had worked with Supervisor Guth during her extraordinary tenure were present, a proclamation of thanks and gratitude was presented by Supervisor Keller from the Township, as well as remarks by Supervisor Chairperson Gard Holby, reviewing and lauding Barbara’s many accomplishments during her tenure, not least of which was the designation of Boarhead Farm as a Superfund cleanup site. Supervisor Guth was instrumental in the location and construction of the present Township building, the modernization of the Township Zoning and ordinances, and maintained the fiscal integrity and efficiency as Secretary/Treasurer for 23 years. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Barbara, as well as fond wishes for her future endeavours.
Bridgeton Township has hired Tammy Macaluso as its new Township Secretary/Treasurer, taking over for Barbara Guth, who has faithfully fulfilled those duties for the last 29 years. Tammy comes to us from Riegelsville, PA, where she performs similar duties for the borough. Her familiarity with the particulars of municipal bookkeeping and obligations has allowed for a seamless transition from former Supervisor Guth’s long service to our community. Tammy will be available Monday and Tuesday 10 – 4 at the township building, and via email at tmacaluso@bridgetontwp.org.
